more cheating lately?

I ve been seeing more speed hax going on lately, is this something that is been noticed by anyone else or just me at the moment? Talked to guy named sgt. slaughter and he said it was cheat 5.4? Told him that he shouldnt bring his speed hax crapp here but he said he wasnt really cheating which was bull...anyone else seeing this?

Hmm, are you sure it was speedhax? Not just some really fast bhop with concs? If not, get those that you find cheating in any way recorded and then send the demo to an admin.

I dont think its funny cheaters are bringing there crap to this awesome mod. Just bringing it up making peeps aware thats all...and I was in on the conversation about the NG spy thing but it was Hammock who was getting heated about it not me...

i wasn't trying to be funny about what I said, but I mean, really, what can be done, other than telling an admin someone is hacking? that takes care of the problem very quickly.

I only got heated about it because I had to repeat my bottom line more than a few times in hopes that the conversation would be over since neither side was going to see eye to eye.

When a conversation goes in circles and with no end in sight I just want it to end.

Heh, I'm very persistent when arguing about my beliefs. I'm flexible though because I'm interested in hearing opposing sides to an argument, but honestly, I hear most complaints about the engineer sucking now from people who rely solely on their sentry guns for their defense. Then when their SG gets destroyed because they just stand around doing nothing, then wonder why SG's are so weak now, all I have to say is learn to effectively play as an engineer, then using your sentry gun should become very simple, including learning how to keep it up. There were some points I agreed on though. I do think the bullet damage needs to be increased to what it was at 2.0, to balance/compensate for the new range limit.

I've yet to see anyone in FF with any sort of hack yet. Just alot of good players who know what they are doing. Previously mentioned somewhere in the forums one of the Devs or beta testers did mention that now it is quite possible to reach some crazy speeds combing certain skill movements if done right, bhop+trimping/ramp slides or what not not even if they can be pulled off after a good landing from a conc.

Ronzui, since i know you frequent our servers (oldtimers) often, if anytime you suspect anyone, record a demo of said suspect, get his steamid and send it to us for review.

i ahvent seen anyone cheat since speedhacks in 1.0, which lasted all of 3 days before everyone using them was banned from pretty much every server.

I have been accused of cheating quite a lot lately when I snipe.
Mostly from new players who think I shouldn't be able to snap their heads off with a 200+ ping.

It is most gratifying when regular players come to my defense and inform the "newbs" that I am not cheating.
I thank those who do.

Interestingly enough, there was a few ppl playing on the ONLY Aussie server the other day so, I joined and had a wonderfull 34 ping.
However I couldn't hit shit!!!!
I am so used to allowing a tad of lead to my shots to compensate for the 200+ ping on the US servers.
Screwed me up big time. LOL

I dunno.. i haven't noticed many players that were so uber good that you could be certain they were cheating. Yeah there's a lot of very very skilled players, but usually you can feel the difference. I have had times playing as spy when i'd be very surprised at people spotting me, but those spy "wtf?" moments are probably normal..

Caleb: No, I've definitely seen some hacking before in as late as 2.0, but it's been rare. And no this wasn't a server with cheats enabled, it was a regular pub game.
