This Just In: Scout Caught Between Bases
Sound Updates
Behind the scenes, Ghroth has been tweaking the sounds... so on the media page you might find an update or two. The napalm grenade page now has a sound for you to enjoy, too! You Know The Demoman; Now Meet The Scout Both rebo and dr_nick are still working hard on class characters. As proof, served with a light bearnaise sauce, I offer you the Scout model and colored concept. The Scout character is energetic, nimble, and not afraid to die. Storm The Enemy Flagroom And Steal Their Flag As you may have read in the developer's journals, Defrag has put aside his lambada lessons to work on the Fortress Forever version of a well known map called Bases. Be sure to to storm the enemy flagroom and steal their flag, or alternatively detonate the PC for some consolation points. To all the interested ladies out there: never forget that Defrag can make levels and dance--an invaluable combination. Head on over to the media page for more new images.

Hellz yeah! I caught this update from moddb, I just saw the caption and headed over to f-f.com before looking at it on moddb. The scout looks sweet as hell, and and the maps you guys are producing continue to put me in awe. Keep up the good work guys!!
edit* I forgot the mention the sounds, I think your work so far ghroth is awesome, I know some are iffy, but I think they are going to be awesome once it is mixed with gameplay, I think its just hard for some to picture it, but I think they sound awesome. |

My thoughts:
1) Scout is awesome! What's with the radar wristwatch, though? Hmm, boys? 2) The napalm grenade is a little iffy, but I'm thinking that when there are flames accompanying it it'll be a LOT better. 3) With bases, that little hole-vent into the flagroom needs a lot of restructuring. Sure, it was OK to just have a box cut out of the wall in TFC but now it looks out of place. Maybe have it look like a vent, or somethin' like that. With textures, and a bit sticking out and all of that mess. |

WOW!! Scout looks so cool I can;t wait to blow one to bits and see the ragdoll fly all over the place. never played bases before but looks cool.
Why in the concept he was carrying the flag, but in the render it just had the flag stick??? STOP TORTURING ME!!!! |

Did anyone notice Dr_nick's back2back FF logo on the flag? An eye into the future? Haha, just kidding, but I hope to see some form of that FF logo on the flag.

So it's more bases_r2 than 2k3? Don't think I ever played r2 in a match but I'm guessing it wasn't much different. The yard makes sd2 look less alone style-wise
Oh and it's looking fucking awesome. Likewise with the scout. |

I Just Turn on the volume up and the napalm nade sounds cool, you could actually hear the metal exploding follow by the flames comming out.

1 question though. Napalm has flames that burn well after the initial blast. The sound byte did not offer that. Is this a work in progress? |
