Tutorial on newer ITGs & restores/enables?
I'm trying to create a sound which goes off only when a player is in a certain area after a button goes off. If the player is outside the area when the button goes off the sound isn't heard.
In Hammer I would use a func_button, an itg, and an ambient_generic. The itg would be "removed" until the func_button "restored" it and an activation of said itg would set off the ambient_generic. Now how the fudge stickles do you do all this in Source? |

I can't figure this out... I'm using a func_button to Enable a trigger_multiple which OnStartTouch will PlaySound ambient_generic. And the func_button is Disabled after a long delay.... why won't this work?
[edit] OMFG I spent most my day... a good 8+ hours trying to solve this problem in various ways. I think the func_button has a limit of 15 triggers cause when I took off the 16th and moved it to another entity it suddenly started working. So there's a tip to all you mappers. Luckily I discovered a few other nuances I want to fix as well before release so I wasted a day but all is not lost. Last edited by Doughnut-4|4-; 09-18-2007 at 07:04 AM. |

The only real important things I said in the first posts was:
1) Twelve hours on this bug and I'm frustrated 2) Found the problem finally: Entities cannot Output more than 15 things. |
