GG Carryover

Just an observation. Regardless of the rants and crap Ive seen here, in IRC and on a couple servers, this is one imnportant thing I've noticed.

Having played half a dozen online games religiously over the last few years.... TFC was the only game I can say that after every round, regardless of league play or pubbing.....and regardless of whether it was a blow out or not.....the round always ended with at least half the guys typing out "GG" at the end of it.

Never really paid any attention to it until today on HLSW when I was looking at the servers the G4B2S community runs......but then the FF map ended....and there it was......10+ people all typing out "GG"

I never saw this in Natural Selection, nor in Supreme Commander and most definitely not in BF2.....if so, its 1 rare GG out of 60 people.

But for whatever reasons....the sportsmanship of TFC has transcended onto FF in that 1 final parting shot of every round that Ive witnessed thus far.....

Its the sportsmanship from source players. I always see a ton of GGs in hl2dm and alot of other source mods I play. If your on a server with my |Elite| clan members playing there you will see a GG from every one of them.

it helps to have it bound.

I use the delete key! It is handy and hard to miss, even with my giant hands.

when you know FF will have a very nice following is when:

CS veterans are able to adopt FF, with half open arms, because right now CS people continuously rant on FF, they are like TF2 FTW, and im just like no, you wont like that either. if you dont like FF, there is little chance you will like TF2.

btw i just caught up on my reading, and TF2 wont have conc grenades.

even though i preordered because i doubt they will release the games at a better price, i still think TF2 was turned into a game like peggle extreme: meant for casual non league play.

I have noticed this as well. It's nice to have FRIENDLY competition. I played cs:s for the last 2-3 years waiting on FF and TF2 to drop, and never see the same happy go lucky game play that these games bring. In conclusion..

i agree, 1st game i plaied about 10 people said gg at the end, i dont know if we even won the match i was so taken back how much ff rocked.

I hate GG spam

It always seems so un-sincere being two keystrokes at the end of every single game, along with it often being used sarcastically. If I mean something I actually take the time to type it out. There is time to do so too, since you can do nothing but wait for the mapchange to initiate.
