Yeah true, US cars in general aren't known for their aerodynamics. And yeah, power:speed is never a constant, but I don't reckon you need 4l for anything this side of a van

read up ^^^^^^ while i love my cars and their manly sounds, id much much prefer to be using an eco friendly car. the only thing i ask for is that we keep our existing engines to as similar a degree as possible. id fucking die in an electric car, it has no appeal to a petrolhead like me - it doesnt ROAR!
hydrogen or biofuels are the way forward for me |

I used to have a 72 Nova and now I have 94 Nissan Truck. My truck is horrible so I don't really see it ever being pretty.

i have a 90 Turbo Eclipse. Its a blast to drive i've dropped so much money into the car and i love getting on the american muscle peoples nerves so i went as far as getting plates on my car that say HAHA V8. Gets alot of people wound up. But its all good when u have a car that can back the statement up. I spent the money and time to have a 10sec street car why not flaunt it.

For me, the best performance car can only be judged by one criterion: how fast it is round a track. That's why Ferraris are the epitome of internal combustion performance, in my opinion.

i agree with the last post, to an extent see people build cars to perform well at certain things for example my eclipse i built for the sole purpose of racing, if i want to go autocross or road coarse i pull out my rx7 it just depends on what your wanting to do.

However....getting Ferrari Performance in a vehicle that can be a daily driver without you cringing everytime a rock from the road hits it is a good thing.
It's funny. I was on my way over the weekend to Disneyland in LA. I was reflecting on the amazement at the disparity in engines between the US and other countries. It occurred to me that the smallest engine of my three vehicles is a 4.2L Inline 6. Yeah...I guess I am a bit of a Petrolhead. I'm ok with that. |

Eye Candy:
![]() # A W-16 engine that can produce 1,001 horsepower # A top speed of 250+ mph (400+ kph) # A zero-to-60 time of three seconds # A zero-to-180 time of 14 seconds 1001HP. Do you know how crazy that is!!! In a passenger car! 1.3 gallons of petrol every minute. The Veyron is just astounding and has taken things to a new level. One thing though: I bet when it finally comes out, the Enzo will still whoop it around a track ![]() |

LOL, yeah I know.
Well, the target is 500 rwhp and 0-60 sub 5 secs. It will still be a blast to drive. |

1.6 gallons a minute?
![]() Not worried about gas shortages, are we? ... And I have NEVER hear of a "W" engine. I take it these exist? Interesting. I'd bet setting the timing on one of those is a VERY aggravating process. Wear a bit and a helmet. |
