I agree that it has to be an act. I can see drugs ruining someones life but it generally takes more time than a couple months to go way overboard like that.

Yes he checked into rehab after "Walk The Line" but that was for alcohol abuse and he wasn't even drinking everyday. He said he could see himself relying on alcohol to feel good and he wanted to catch it early before it became too much of a habit.

Plus he has his brother in law following him around with a camera filming his every move. It's got to be some sort of "Mocumentary" he's doing.
