ok i played with it last night some...i made a nice reflective texture but i have a problem...in a solid room i placed the texture on a brush on the floor and wall...BUT....it reflects the sky....even with cubemaps...solid room...no sky...
2nd problem...same texture different room....i placed it on one wall and it reflects nicely but at to large of a scale....how do i scale down the reflection? |

Did you put a cubemap in the room, and then use buildcubemaps?

yes sir....for some reason it was reflecting the sky...but it was a closed in room....
also how do i scale down the reflection? |

Cubemaps use your skybox as a default before you build them.
You can't scale cubemap reflections. If the reflection is clear enough that you can easily see it's wrong, your surface needs to be less reflective.
