I don't really like a lot of these banner ads, if an ad takes me more than 5 seconds to view it's too long. I can't be bothered sitting there watching characters pop up slowly and wait for 4 screens of text. Don't take this as flaming but as constructive critiscism, try and make them short and sweet.

It might also be worth looking into getting an ad on XFire, I know I click those more than anything.

It's not essential that an advert/banner has to be animated. They look dumb anyway.

. Also for a lil variety, i can come up with a couple other banners using the same metaillic/tech kinda border. Shaped a lil differntly if need be. I'll see what else i can come up with

DG, I like #1, but the cool FF text is kinda lessened by the plain URL and "A Half-Life..." font/style. Second one is cool too, but the same goes for it. Also, its not really necessary to put "http://" in front of the addy. Most people dont' type that anyway.

Other than that, I'd be interested to see what more you could come up with. You've got some good ideas. Keep it up.

As far as the other submissions go. Many of those would look great as static banners (e.i. not animated), and the banana FF time flashy one cracks me up. lol

Cool. I'll make some alterations to the existing ones. Plus for the addy text on the banners usually better to keep those simpler. as seen with most professionally laid out banners, normally the company name is done in a larger font or more stylish and the actual addy in a bold but simple one, on average. Good point onthe http though. had never really thought of that to much. just mostly habit to add it in anyway. Ty, for the compliments and suggestions. * jumps back into photoshop*

edit - I agree about the animated ones. Personally i always thought very small and subtle animations looks much better ( ie lil effects and stuff), rather then drwn out movement and to flashy stuff that might send an epileptic into a seizure,lol. For the most part i do like the still ones.

Made a couple minor changes to 2 of the above banners. Came up with a couple more and added a couple color variants for one of the previous banners. Had a couple brain farts this time around. I'm still not completely happy with the outcome, but its better then nothing
