what's with all these people going missing? do they have such full time commitments they can't spend a little bit of their time over months finishing up any work they've started?

It's been a while, but in the original qwtf version of The Rock I'm pretty sure you could det a generator somewhere to gain a second entrance into the warden's area.

Rock isn't too bad in a pub as long as the teams are somewhat smallish and everyone is not playing defense. In a match forget about it. The one and only time I played Rock I was responsible for gaurding the key as a demo. My stats at the end of the round was 1 kill and 0 deaths. I refused to kill myself to get another detpack to reseal the hole in the yard.

Gren bags also give you a detpack eh, hence annoying the people on well pubs by constantly dropping detpacks from the attic .

It can be very stressful/hard at times. I remember just before one of the dystopia updates when dys_fortress was being included as an official map I was so extremely burned out from mapping I couldn't even finish the last couple percent of the map that needed finishing. And now what do you know, I recently deleted like half the map and re-did it for v1. :P

Well the argument would be that its better all of them have it because it discourages people from bothering to go to the effort of making other cheats. Also if it helps a sniper to become a viable class (but not be overpowered obviously) then I'm all for it

Actually the argument is that neither Aces nor Player has ever played the game, and are thus not qualified to give their shitty opinions on gameplay elements the devs believe are an improvement.

Without being able to test this out in a full game situation, I would agree that arguing whether it is good or not remains to be a moot point for anyone not developing or beta testing the game.

Every game gets tweaked, things get changed or taken out or added.

Like, remember in CS b2 when weapons stayed on the ground after every round?

Or when the m4 had a scope and unremovable silencer?

Every game changes, and we'll see what happens to this one in the coming months and years

Yeah it was...those were good times for the p90...damn nerfers I remember a beta point where TMP had 2/3 shots hit in the helmet/face too...

The real argument is that the tagged player knows he is tagged and it has limited range.

The reason they did it is to give the Sniper SOMETHING to bring him up and make him more valuable. Personally, from what I've heard, the tag won't really help that much. For one, you have to to hit the guy and let him live to make it work right? *Edit* The only way I can see the tag actually be useful is if the sniper accidenly didn't kill the O runner and it would let him tell his teammates where he's running so they can stop him. So, basically it lets the sniper be a defencive caller, which could be useful....maybe. still seems underpowerd to me

If I can throw my 2 cents I would make snipers immune to the wallhack tag bullet, otherwise that would essentially mark the death of sniper wars
