I did enjoy episode 1, but it didn't foster a feeling of "newness" like most every section of HL2 did. The new bits they added, though, were excellent. The escorting bit was fun, but the infinite rockets made it pretty easy, and you had to make too many trips
I did not, however, enjoy the dark garage/elevator bits. The flares lasted all of a couple of seconds, and who the hell designs a flashlight that dies so quickly? Plus, the Source engine can't do dynamic lights like the D3 engine can. |

Looking back as I'm riding the train out of the city, I got this "Oh shit this can't be good" kinda feeling which was almost worth the price of admission right there.
Also the fact that they managed to have an AI character following you the whole game that didn't slow you down or annoy you the whole time was an amasing accomplishment that many other games have failed at. (And some quite spectacularly) |

Good god...i just visted the steam forums for the first time ever and saw the most ignorant people backing TF2. I seriously thought i had walked into my grandparents house while jumping into a discussion about music...most of the shit almost made me piss my pants from laughter. One quote that comes to mind was "Clanners (talking about tfc) bhop and conc because they lack skill." What skill they were talking about i have no fucking clue. But my point is i hope TF2 gets delayed another decade, so when these faggots come over to this pimp game they can suck our dicks and eat shit.

I like your attitude. It makes mine seem so much nicer in comparison.

Heh heh Jiggles, I only shat myself once during the dark fighting near the elevator. It was a common occurence during Doom3. I've never seen anything get that creepy lighting quite right in comparison.

Can't believe people are bitching about paying 20 bucks for a game when for TFC, which was free, they prob played for something like 2000 hours in total. Work out the cost to entertainment ratio and it might as well have been free.
