Is there any way to widen the website?
I do a lot of random crap on the internet like most, and browse through plenty of websites, and almost all of them condense the website into the middle of the screen, Facebook, Youtube and most browser games and forums do etc...
I know this is to cater to a range of different size monitors, and it's easier to read shorter columns of text like those in newspapers and such. But my resolution is 1920 x 1080, as in HD, and of all of the websites I have been on, which is a vast amount, the Fortress Forever website/forum is the thinnest I have ever come across... the gaps at either side of the website are only slightly thinner than the actual content area. I was wondering if there is a built in setting I have missed somewhere where I could increase the display width, some websites I have been on have that function, allowing you to manually set how wide you want the display to be up to a maximum width of 1050 - 1500 pixels or anything. But the default is usually 800. It's more of a strain for me personally to view an entire website and forum on such a thin strip. Thankfully FireFox 4 allows me to pull this text box to whatever size I want so it's easier to type stuff. And if there isn't a function like that, what do people think about adding one, the most common width I come across, or atleast what appears to be this size, is 1050 pixels wide, which is around the same as Facebook and Youtube among many other websites. FF looks much thinner to me. |
