The two winners get to pick from any game on steam that is within the price guidelines.

1st place - any steam game $50 of less.
2nd place - any steam game $25 or less.

The contest started Saturday July 4th and ends midnight July 31. There should be another contest in August for prizes for about the same value.

The two winners from Julys contest picked out Mirrors Edge and Call of Duty - world at war.

We are taking a break for the month of August.

In September there is a 99.9% chance there is going to be another contest for 2 more steam games.

My suggestion was $100 worth of Steam Games for first place and $50 worth of Steam games for second place.

Damn that's boring. Couldn't you come up with something a little more interesting? I dunno like a contest (drawing,modeling,something).

I dont guess you read the guidelines at the link? It is a contest.

The 2 top posters for the month of October will win a prize.

1st place - top poster for the entire month of October - $50 game or $50 game package or Left 4 Dead 2.

2nd place - 2nd top poster for the entire month of October - $25 game or game package from Steam.

Instead of having a set prize, the 2 top posters get to pick their prizes from steam - within the price range of course. Since Steam has over 1,500 games, that is a pretty big selection.

The top poster for the month of October has the option to select Left 4 Dead 2. When its available for pre-order, it will be sent to the winners account as a gift. They can then pre-load, and be ready to play as soon a the game is unlocked.

The more people have to do to win a prize, the less people enter. Right now I just want to build up post count in the forum.

In November or December I might have an uploads contest. Such as the person that uploads the most maps will win a prize,, but I'am still thinking about that one.

1 point for every post in the forum

50 points for every gaming video uploaded to youtube with WWW.ELGMS.COM watermarked in it, and a working link to the site in the first line of the video description. Videos must meet youtube guidelines, and must be at least 1 minute long. Please do not post any rick rolled videos.

As a matter of fact, yes you can.

I would need a backup of the fortress forever forum database, then I could merge the 2 databases with a special software tool.

But then there would be this duplicate content issue with the search engines.

no need to do that, all you have to do is Make Account > Name it his name > add post through Control Panel! BAM CIRC WINS!

You can add post count - as in change the number of post that someone has made. But is there a way to import threads and post through the vbulletin control panel?

I took this advice for Novembers contest, and it got out of hand. People that made a gaming video, and watermarked it with the website name got extra points. Some of the people started downloading videos from youtube, watermarked them, then uploaded the again to youtube. One guy took the left 4 dead introduction video, and wanted points for uploading it to youtube.

Youtube removes a lot of the duplicate content videos. So part of the rules was that the video was supposed to be their own production.

Also, the more people have to do, the less people are likely to enter.

In December we are going to have 2 contest for a game on steam, each one lasting 2 weeks.

First contest starts December 1st and goes through December 15th.

Second contest starts December 16 and goes through December 31st.

This is just a basic forum posting contest.

The prize for each contest is a $25 game off of steam.

Novembers contest:
1st place - ienvy with 112 post and 21 youtube videos
2nd place - meettheheavy with 243 post and 10 youtube videos

Octobers contest:
1st place - Apoptygma Bzerk with 967 over the past 30 days
2nd place - Geralt with 650 post for the past 30 days.

September Contest:
1st place - Geralt with around 530 post
2nd place - Fastas with around 334 post
