well im getting BASICs of reskinning things down, but i don't know how or what program to decompile a model

The problem with just editing the origin is it doesn't give the stretch effect that the actual FOV does. It's much harder to replicate the old 120 FOV models since you would have to manually stretch the model and scale certain parts to look as if it's in tunnel vision.

holy crap that back part in FF looks cool. could you do that without the stretch? Reminds me more of other Quake rpg versions, similar to this:

It's not being stretched in FF, just moved forward. So there is no other way to do it than how it is there.
