Fortress Forever 1.11 is out!

Hi folks, version 1.11 is out. This is a small patch to address some issues found in 1.1. You will need to have version 1.1 already (ie. this patch is incremental).

If you're a CrosuS user simply click this text here to get the latest version (doesn't matter what version you currently have). Don't have CrosuS? Click here! If you're not a CrosuS user then you'll have to download from our amazing selection of mirrors listed below. (If you can mirror the file please do so and let us know the url!)

Please make sure to back up your scripts or any content that could get lost should files be overwritten!

Changelog:
  • Added blur effect option to menu
  • Added some missing map files
  • Fixed waterpolo Lua script
  • Reduced AC spinup
  • Fixed AC firing huge salvo
  • Reverted accidental conc physics change thing kthx

Inclusive Installation Executable (1.1 update plus 1.11 update)
Fortress Forever 1.11 FULL Installation ExecutableSummary:
  • This is an incremental update - you need 1.1 (or just go through CrosuS by clicking here)
  • Backup any scripts/configs/anything you'd be upset to lose (just to be safe)
  • It's named 1.11 to try and trick you all! See, that's 1.1 with an extra 1!
  • A huge thanks to DrEvil for making this patch possible

The heavy now doesn't start firing when his gun stops charging up, it's got a quick, blank area.

I hereby declare 15th of November the "Dev Appreciation Day"
On DAD, you need to get drunk, play FF and try to get laid at any cost!

EDIT: The hwguy's gun starts firing when it's about 1/4th "hot"... Being a medic, I can live with that ^^

EDIT2: Now how did that happen? I editted and that had me repost. To be fair, my postcount should be reduced to Pie-1 ^^

easy for you to say i can do the 1st 2,-edit so its like tfc and doesnt overheat ?!!?

Don't know if this is intended or not but i can play on 1.1 and 1.11 servers with the 1.11 client.

Yes you won't get an error playing on 1.1 servers, but the AC will not behave correctly. You will see it do something different than what is actually happening on the server.

For example. On your client you will see a reduced spinup time and appear to start shooting(and not doing any damage), when in reality the server is still using the old spinup time.

I'm not aware how we can mark versions as incompatible so players will get wrong version errors and such.

The server class table mismatch or whatever error is engine level, and is due to modifications to networked variables and such afaik.

I want the blur effect, but I can't find where the option is to turn it on?

When I update via Crosus it's downloading the patch twice at the same time.
Anyway it's good to see more frequent patches now.

Exited Steam and validated FF, again it's trying two validations at the same time, one got through, the other one is stuck at "scanning".

Did a clean up after it was stuck for like ten minutes, and tried another validation. This time only one validation came up and finished.

You can't just put a variable at the start of the build. Where you can enter which build it is that can compare to the server's build?

The version number should also be displayed on the Welcome Screen too, in like the lower right hand corner. Foretress Forever: 1.11

By pass the engine level error all together, never let it reach there.
