Need help from you photoshoppers!
Hi all. I've tried and tried but have never gotten use to photoshop. I hate everything about it.. unnecesarilly cumbersome. Atleast I think but then again im pissed off with this right now :P
Anyway. I have a radar overview image for a CS:S GunGame map thats setup and ready to go, except for the transparency around the map. http://www.filefactory.com/file/ce33...scorner_v2_tga Basically I need the blue area set to be a transparent alpha layer, whatever the hell that is. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. |

Supposedly TGA allows for alpha channels. Like i said i dont know what an alpha layer is though.. as long as the end product can be used by VTFedit. PNG Should work.

Cheebs, you noob. [/joke]
Alphas can be tricky if you haven't worked with them. *edit* Also, don't bash photoshop or I'll skin you alive and throw salt on you while pissing in your empty eyesockets. KTNXBAI |

Yeah. you have to select the area you want to be alpha, then save the selection..blah blah blah.
Glad you got it working. |

Skip the tga>vtf conversion process (not that it helps with alpha channels... but you figured that out anyway)
