If it just disappeared, wouldn't it reappear when you load steam or the source sdk? If not just extract it from the gcf?

Pedantic. But you answered my question closely enough.

Solution
Theres a temporary solution to hammer not being found: If you restart steam a few times making sure the process steam is dead in ctrl alt del it works 9/10 times. If not reboot and all is well. Strange but it seems to work. They made hammer stable just the sdk doesnt work that often it happens quite frequently that this happens.

Or maybe just copy your SDK folder to another location and copy it back if the original disappears?

I'm all for the new toys that come with hammer, but the one thing I feel so handicapped with is the damn 2D scrolling, mainly the fact that it's GONE!
I live by the 2d scrolling, nothing else, now with this "on demand" thing, I can't do squat with the beta and had to go back to the old version. Personaly the new features for the beta are not worth the on demand control system that limits my control on scrolling, and I sure hope Valve doesn't make this thing the perma-version or I'm gonna be done for with mapping. |

I know, it annoys the shit outta me too. They're prolly gonna fix it tho. I know they fixed the axis problem when you rotate.

Using the arrow keys to move the 2d views? Sifn't use them to nudge things 1 unit at a time.
