For Existing TFC Server Admins

I just had a quick thought (amazing I know!!)

Would be nice for the server admins that are here to support FF to perhaps start advertising FF & the website on their servers and webbys.

Either as a rcon messages or those clever messages that pop up every so often. Also when the release is close perhaps add the fact that FF is coming on the server name.

It might help spread the word to existing players, casual or not that don't know this mod exists.

I may be wrong but valve and the crew are not garunteed to advertise this mod through their channels.... so perhaps we should take it upon our selves to spread the word.

What you think ?

If it turns out as good as we all hope, word of mouth will do the work without us even trying hard

Gamenews-sites and forums will help spread the word !

-=DoM=- already has a couple of Threads on FF and its progress as well as a link to the site.

we currently dont have anything being displayed on our server but its a good idea...i'll bring it up to the other leaders.

we talk about it often on the server though..i know i've told many'ah ppl about it who never heard of it..hell i didnt know about it until about Oct. of last year when Nod told me...we are spreading the word the best we can...but i think displaying it on the server here and there is a pretty good idea...

G4B2S (Guns 4 Back 2 School) is in the midst of revamping their entire website for the upcoming FF mod. While we have already gotten permission to use the FF logo, we are still awaiting Jim ill's permission to use one of his submissions to the FF logo contest. (he hasnt responded to 2 emails or a PM)
Other then that, they are about to put up a server very shortly with TFC that will definitely run CSAYs about the upcoming arrival.

I think it is a nice idea, but I started to hype FF a bit a few years ago; and perhaps somewhat judged by the history of TFC2's vaporware status, waiting for FF for more than 2 years has caused many people's interst to fade.

I was just funning ya. Anyone that plays TFC with zeal knows the score. So why hype what people already know? And if we hype the forums then it will be filled with clueless noobs asking already answered questions, and that will distract the Devs even more.
