Physics don't affect weapons. Actually, the only thing I've seen in the game thats physics effected so far are a few tanks jesse put in Hunted and that was a "just for the fuck of it" kind of thing. You can do every concjump in FF that was possible in TFC. Its actually easier to juggle now with the better nade timer. The pyro's IC comes down as if pulled by gravity but it still can't be affected one way or the other.

Yep, though there are several custom timers you can switch to if you feel like it. Such as 4 beep timers, double beep timers, some that you'll just have to listen to, they're a nice suprise. But timing is exactly the same and it is more forgiving if you don't time it exacly right.

Actually, the distance between the 2 conc platforms was intentionally designed so that you can conc from one onto the other with just one conc as a scout in TFC (we tested it lots). It is a big conc yeah, but from everything we've heard it should be possible in FF too, and therefore the useful conc needed to skim the water nicely to slide the ramp at fd shouldn't be hard at all (that's the idea anyway...the skill is in getting good speep up the main ramp and what you do with that speed next!).

Dodge the rckts on the ramp and then go flying round to the left or right and mb hit another slide or conc to try to get to the fr before the hw/engy/demo has his wicked way with you!

Would be really useful to chat to you sometime about the map, Lost. There are a lot of ideas in the map that no1 seems to have picked up on yet, so would be really useful if you could try a few things for us pls. Send me a pm or irc details or whatever if you're up for it.

EDIT: in fact you can quite easily conc jump from conc platform to conc platform as a scout in TFC, and you can do it as a medic (with one conc) if you do a big one

an upate!..

Sorry for the really delayed reply, I've been busy with other things lately. Anyway, here's an update on what's going on with the map.

In three weeks I finish uni, and then I'm going to work on getting aardvark setup for FF. First we need to sort the entities and replace the textures with FF ones, then we can get on with the most important issue of tweaking the gameplay (especially making the offy movement awesome!).

The HL2DM versions I have are very old, and rather than updating the HL2DM version I'm sure you'll agree my time is much better spent working on getting the map all sexy and playing nice in FF.

I'll be sure to keep you lot updated via this thread, and I'll post a couple of screenshots if I manage to get it looking good (it looks much much better with FF textures btw).
