Server Uses Different Class Tables

Q: I get "Server uses different class tables" error. What's up with that?

A: You have a different version of FF than the server. So far we have released:

Fortress Forever 1.0 (exe)
Update 1.1
Update 1.11

The updates are available as:

Individual Incremental .zips
Individual Incremental Executables
Inclusive Executable ( 1.1 and 1.11 updates combined )

Make sure you have FF updated to the latest version. Unfortunately, some servers operators are slow to update their servers. So it's possible to have an updated FF installation and get the error from an old FF version on a server.

here is a quick fix.

get another account and install FF ver 1.0 on it.

now you can play anything on FF

That is a bad idea....

A lot of things, including crashes and load times, have been fixed since 1.0.

you know mods aren't stored on a per account basis?

Hi,
can any one recommend an up to date place to download the latest version as I've downloaded from Multiplay.co.uk through a link on the downloads page and it turns out it's for version 1.0! I don't want to have to work my way through all the links just to get a current version.
alternately, Is there a way I could update my now installed version 1.0 to the latest release?

Any help would be sweet as I'm desperate to play........ Thanks

What version of FF are they running. It is unfritunate on mods that some people get discouraged by this and they need an easy way to tell. Also is there anyway to bundle the full install with the patch 1.11 or a way to let people know who are not technically savy. I hate to see people not playing due to issues of just missing a patch and searching for these are making surte they have been updated is half the battle for a lot of users. I want to see more people out there playing on the pubs. I like pubs and they like me.

Yes. It requires a 4th grade reading level though.
