gamesurge irc #fortressforever is set to +r

I've lost my ability to log into gamesnet IRC, but I can get onto gamesurge...

but #fortressforever is set to +r on gamesurge... can some op unlock that please? it shouldn't be restricted anyway.

that channel seems to be a huge waste of time. why would anybody +r a mod channel? "keeps the peasants out"?? <--oh that's brilliant.

Like they have top secret stuff going back and forth on a game that does not exist...lol

Smells like "WINNERS" to me.

I actually belive that gamesurge services sets +r during a join flood, but never unsets it...

More like leave out the bots, virus drones and spammers, the majority of which do not authenticate on Gamesurge for obvious reasons. Not to mention it takes all of quite literally 3 minutes to register an account on their website and receive the email.

Quakenet is oldskool. I feel way more at home on QuakeNet than on Gamesurge. I don't see any point in +r'ing a channel either. You can get an eggdrop to kickban any drones that join. Which by the way, it would seem Gamesurge has far more drones than Quakenet.
