Lag Issues
Lately I have been having an issue with FF where I am getting intermittent lag spikes throughout gameplay, when the game lags/spikes I freeze and come back into game with all my ammo / arsenal being displayed on the right side of my just like when you respawn. My ping is normal at like 45, i use all maxed rates for my cable connection which worked great before this issue, and i have also reinstalled FF/source sdk, and ran all virus programs i have to try to get rid of the wierd spikes /past existing porn virusses. My system came up totally clean. Anyone else ever get this crappy lagspikes issue? It happens to me like every 10 seconds and now I dont even want to play anymore lol. My internet/cable works fine as well and I get good download speeds just FF lag, really odd.

Doesn't sound like a network problem .. sounds like your computer is bottlenecking on occasion. Try defragging your system drive and page files. Could also try uninstalling drivers, cleaning and reinstalling drivers.

When my connection used to intermittently die and then restart, I used to experience the same problem. So, therefore, you probably have some connection/network issues. If it's definitely not your internet, I'd check out your network card/router.

It happened to me for a while a few weeks ago, but my connection has been wonky. That said, if I had to make ANY guesses I would guess it's a mod that is on the server doing it, because it was worked fine for one session, and was doing it again the next time I played.

Take note the time of day it happens the most. If you find, like partial, you can play all day and night worry free except between the nets "Busy" time 4-8ish p.m. its your line quality.
Determine that there are no problems on your side and give joor net provider a call. need to get a guy to clarify the line from your address box to the areas hub and/or beyond personally whenever a change in location happens i do the above whether theres a problem or not as soon as my line is active. If they do come out and work some magic yet problems still ensue...least ya narrowed it down to yourside. everyplace ive lived ive gone as far as crackin the box open outside and wires a dsl filter to the mains then ran a dedicated line straight to the dsl modem. Bam whole house filtered with optimal line quaility where i counts in on swift motion |

Yeah, it's definitely not a time of day thing for me. I work during primetime.
