Question

Which do you like better

Side A for lighting for Side B for lighting?

My plan is to fill this whole hallway with 1 type of lighting and i can't decide which one looks better. Now if i go with option A i was thinking about adding some kind of floor light to brigthen it up. If you have any other ideas besides these let me know

Nice pic.
I prefer B since it gives a more even lighting, A has wierd patches of darkness on the walls and ceiling. Also, the light cones in A look... wrong. If you end up using A, I would suggest widening the angle on them and making them more transparent.

B unless you widen the cones on A as shadow suggested. I like A's models, but it's too dark.

I would vote for A if the lights u say ur going to add would be set really down and on the sides, but it cant be the hole map like that, its pretty original and diferent but it would affect the gameplay due its darkness so if u dont want to start testing things and stuff id rather say go for B

Agree pretty much with Ghostbuster.. A looks sexier, but could turn out too dark.

A, can i ask what kinda setup you have for each light? sprites(looks like 2)? light(s)?

1.) increase the scale of the env_sprite

2.) add a low intensity "light" directly under the light fixture, this will help illuminate the walls. also when i do this i tend to use the same color as the "light_spot" BUT i darken it, in that slider drop it down a few to a darker color.

example:

light_spot is 255 0 0 (red)

light is 245 0 0 (slightly darker)

ok hows this look. I removed all the sprites but 1 fromt he lights (had 3 small ones before) and up the scale of the sprites. hows it look?

honestly man, that sprite does not look good on those fixtures, you need a sprite that extends the length of the fixture not a round one in the middle. go back to the other ones(A)!!!

I say a combo of a+b. Alternate going down the hall way with the first two set ups you have. a,b,a,b,a. And see how the combo looks.
