I am happy for you! I prefer the good 'ol CRT monitors myself since they are reliable as a refridgerator, but take up as much room as one!

What on earth has the replies to do with the thread subject? You have a "Private Message" function for such thing you know. And why is it "the devil"? It works just fine for me. Use it properply .

I don't know what sucks more, failing to make 2 loaves of bread or the heater not functioning. Guess it depends on patience and tolerance.

First problem I have is it takes forever to check for updates for FF.
Seconded I tried to manually DL FF and it was scanning for over 10 min.
Third there is only 15 of about 45 custom/remake maps that are all posted in the mapping forums.
Fourth it's supposed to be noob friendly but you have to go threw four clicks or so just to find FF.
Fifth You click on DL and there is nothing there because I haven't DL anything yet cause it takes so damn long to scan. The DL link should be just that a link for DL directory. Then under user settings it should be labeled DL history or some shit like that.
Sixth there should be a DL links for all the updates to give people the choice of a crosus install or self install.

Thats enough for now.

It has to scan all the files, should only take up for a minute orso, not that long.

Same as above, should only take a minute. If longer, do you have a fast PC? >_>

What do you expect? No one is sending in maps, and I never get notified about new maps. I cannot be 24/7 on the forums to check up on all the maps that has been released. Mind helping out since you complain about it?

Wow, 4 clicks. That's a lot.. Remember Crosus is in beta.

Once again, CrosuS = Beta.

Have to agree on point 6, people don't like being forced into something / having to use something.

I have more problems with what's on the game browser, because of misnames (Lincity != Lincity-NG), and illegal copyright infringing material (Chex Quest including Doom media, full Transport Tycoon Deluxe bundled with OpenTTD Free Software, etc)

Don't give me that "it's abandonware" shit. It doesn't legally exist in that fashion. If you defend that then you might as well put up all the ROMS on CrosuS with that stupid "24 hour" disclaimer

well said! I hate Steam and Valve with a passion ^^
Why I play one of their games (better: a mod for it) anyway? I have NO reason to tell you ^^

Nobody is forced to use any single download type. Crosus is just another valid option.

First of Just let me say I'm no trying to bash CrosuS. I was just responding to :

Quote:
FF|Skyrider And why is it "the devil"?
The replies where meant to be constructive not critical.

Quote:
FF|Skyrider It works just fine for me. Use it properply
Then teach us the right way. Ask Questions to try to figure out whats going on/why it's not working good for the people who have tried it. I got pissed with 1.1 and turned it off and used a torrent.

Quote:

I have a p4 3.4 gig dual core
1 gig ram
200 gig hard drive partitioned int 4 dif drive
So maybe there is some thing that isn't configured right but I'm not the CrosuS expert. Maybe we can get together in the FF steam chat and figure out why it takes so long for me and then we can post our findings.

Finally I'm zipping all 42 zip files(307 MB) of the maps I have put up on the [AE] Clan server so you got work to do. I will post the link in the mapping forums for you.

Happy Turkey Day
