If you Like Liquid Tension Experiment, give a listen to Spastic Ink.
. Allan Holdsworth ; Al Di Meola . Jason Becker . Godspeed You ! Black Emperor ; Explosions In The Sky ; Mogwai ; etc.. . Neurosis . Laibach Hah sorry I've put way more than five but I listen to too much music to narrow my tastes to only 5 bands, seriously.. Even here there isn't the third of what I listen to regularly. VVV narrowed it down, jeez Last edited by o_ivaqual; 05-16-2006 at 03:18 PM. |

Yeah. Although they sing in English. A few Finnish bits, though. Turmion Kätilöt is Finnish, too, obviously.
Let's see... 49 songs before I'm done listening to all my new Kamelot tracks. So far, though, it's good stuff (42 so far).

Nice idea qwertyop! Good choice too. The Ocean (live) is one of my favourite all time LZ songs! Great blues with Stevie Vaughan - never heard of him before now, I might have to buy a CD or two.

Soul Coughing is at the top, the other 4 are in no particular order and are on the list out of all the music I listen to essentially because they're the most recent CDs I bought.
1. Soul Coughing -The Black Mages -System of a Down -The White Stripes -Gorillaz Some of my favorite music isn't by a particular band, but by a composer/songwriter or something. Nobuo Uematsu gets to be on the list because of the Black Mages, but there's also Yoko Kanno and Yuki Kajiura who can't be left without a meniton. |

Yeah Meolas stuff with McLaughlin is pretty good, but McLaughlins solo stuff and Shakti crap i couldnt care less for, its pretty much acoustic shred in my ears :P
Lets not forget Paco De Lucia, the tone, oh man... the tone.

Here are my youtube songs:
Crushed Like Fruit - InMe I'd Rather Dance With You - Kings of Convenience You Were Always The One (live) - Cribs (Studio version is better) Can't Stand Losing You - The Police Al Oltro Lado Del Rio - Jorge Drexler (Not much of a video, but listen to the song) A Trick Of The Tail - Genesis (prog-rock, you must listen to all of it to appreciate) Those are some of my favourite songs. |

He also did some hendrix covers, the most famous (and best) ones being Voodoo Child and Little Wing, so if any of you are Hendrix fans take a look at those. Last edited by o_qwertyuiop; 05-17-2006 at 12:40 AM. |
