I really enjoyed Soul Music and Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. Planning on reading this soon on a friend's recommendation, anyone want to comment on it?

As for classic literature, Don Quixote and Inferno were entertaining. I loved Inferno although didn't really enjoy having to decipher every verse to get what it was saying. It's still amazing that translators managed to carry over the rhyme scheme to the English language though.

Good Omens is very funny, but the overall plot or message of the book didn't really strike a chord with me. If you like Pratchett's humour it's worth reading, but I think there are Discworld novels that are better. That said, I haven't read any of Neil Gaiman's other stuff so I'm not in a great position to comment.

Mainly Sci/fi , Fantasy but i also like Historical , War and Thrillers. Can't really get into any kind of biography , comedy or horror fiction.

Among my favourites are

Enders Game , OS Card
Magician , RE Feist
Dune , Frank Herbert
Harry Potter

and almost anything by James Barclay and David Gemmell

The worst ever book/series I have ever read is a trilogy by Robert Newcomb "The Scrolls of Ancient.....something or other". The only series ever that I have finished thats caused me to throw it across the room and swear alot

Catcher in the Rye (only book I've ever read in one sitting. Napolean Dynamite fans would love this one)

Wow, can't believe I forgot to mention Hitchiker's Guide and all of Kurt Vonnegut's awesome books.

I mostly read SF. The book I'm reading right now is the Complete Robot by Isaac Asimov.

For those who didn't like the sequels to Ender's Game (probably everyone- I don't think I managed to finish reading Xenocide), the line of books following Bean are an improvement.

(I didn't find Kurt Vonnegut's stuff that great)
