4chan saves cats

Perhaps some of you have heard about this.
Some kid posted a video on youtube of him beating his cat. It was quickly removed, but many had watched it and people had already posted it on other sites. Now, 4chan may be a bunch of losers who have ruined more than few lives and pissed off many more, but as shown by all of the 'lolcat' pictures they have produced, 4chan loves cats. This video obviously crossed the line with them. 4chan tracked him down within a couple days, leading to a facebook profile. They contacted local authorities (as well as sending him many death threats, of course) and now the kid is in shit. They also released his phone number/address to the internet.

To the masked individual and cameraman in the video I have the
following message. I don't know who you are, we don't care what you
want. If you think you can pay ransom, I can tell you we don't want
money. But what we do have are a very particular set of skills; skills
we have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make us a
nightmare for people like you. If you turn yourselves in now, that'll
be the end of it. We will not look for you, we will not pursue you. But
if you don't, we will look for you, we will find you, and we will van
you.

I hope they really make this kid (+ the cameraman) regret this. Even if the law restricts his punishment from being anything much, the people at 4chan will surely put him in a world of pain.

The kid oughta have a group of people from 4 chan dressed up in cat suits that look like Dusty slamming him into a wall, spraying windex in his face etc... I watched the video and what that kid did was so wrong, and he enjoyed it too. Bastard deserves whatever 4chan gives him.

I couldn't watch more then a few seconds of that. How can you beat a cat like that and not have a problem with that? I would love to bash that asshole's head agaist the wall a few times, see how much Kenny Glenn enjoys that.

Yeah I got the same connection. I would kill someone who did that to my cat. I'm very glad this kid got some shit but I feel like it's not enough. ive refused to watch it and will continue to do so unless there is a video of that kid getting his face fucking shredded with a spiked 2x4 or something. until there is some ultimate retribution like that to make me feel better, i cant bear to watch a cat get treated like that

4chan is pretty much the cesspool of the Internet. They can be terrible, hateful people, although admittedly most of them just do it "for the lulz", as it were. They're not one to hold back joking about race, religion, mysoginy - you name it, they've said it.

Even so, they have this weird moral code. I don't think most of those guys would, say, tie up a black guy and whip him (as I saw such a joke a day or two ago). Talking about it is funny. Talking about smacking around an animal is funny. Doing it is entirely different.

Keep in mind that these guys have an entire fucking day of the week dedicated to cats (Saturday, otherwise affectionately known as Caturday). Messing with a cat and posting it on the Internet is like Oprah Winfrey putting your address on screen and saying that you hate Barack Obama. You're as good as dead, and if not you'd wish you were dead.

I'm not one to advocate killing someone over something like this. I'd rather let the Feline Genus strike back a bit. Stick this fucker in a room with a disgruntled bobcat for 15 minutes and see how he feels when the animal abuses him.
