[DkR] Dark Reavers Clan
Heyzo.
I read a thread posted by rebo which said it's good to let the community know about clans and such, so here goes. After a 6 year break from TF during which we played various other games like CS: Source and Guild Wars, [DkR] is returning to its roots as a Fortress Forever clan. [DkR] was formed in 1999, and the FF dev team's own Mirvin_Monkey was amongst the members (he actually made the original clan flash intro, which got me into the whole web-design thing). We're based in the UK and the current members are aged between 19 and 22. We've been inactive as a clan since July 2006 after about 2 years of playing CS: Source, and will be re-activating for FF. I've just about finished the new website (after about a week of writing PHP), and now all we need is members, and FF to be released. Once it is we will be playing in a league of some description, possibly EnemyDown if they create a FF league. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know. http://www.darkreavers.co.uk/dkr |

clan ~aD will continue in FF too.
We've been a European TFC clan since 2001 (?) and have been competing in the Skirmish AvD league for the past 3 seasons (2nd place, 1st place, 2nd place). U can find our website here: www.a-dclan.tk or contact us through IRC: #~aD @ quakenet The Skirmish AvD league (www.skirmish-league.net) will also continue in FF, and aD will surely sign up for that! (as soon as there's enough maps for a league..) We have been an AvD only clan till now, it's still unsure if we'll be playing CTF as a clan in FF or not. |

Yeah it's made in PHP as I mentioned, and as the above poster said. I haven't noticed any bugs as of yet, after testing it with all the major browsers (only the latest versions though), so if you have see any problems with the site I'd like to hear about them. You might get the stupid Internet Explorer problem where you have to click on Flash objects before they activate, but that's all I've seen. |

wish i had the time to clan again... i'd definitly return for organized fortress forever if i DID have the time... :\
then again if i had the time i'd be clanning in tfc still... GL Dark, good to see clans are actually forming already... which brings a question to mind; if there will be leagues and clans upon FF's release... will there be a time period BEFORE matches begin? giving the people time to learn the game, classes and maps? sure there are ported maps and the classes are the same but movement and abilities are mostly NEW. everything has been tweaked... sayyyy, what if you are bad ass at scout in tfc but you're horrible at it in FF due to the new movement capabilities? you won't be worth much to your clan at that point in time... at least until you improve, ORRR... is this all just gonna start from the get go and the community will learn as they play in an organized fashion? im stoned so if i went off on a tangent im sorry and i didnt feel like making a thread and losing my question in my sea of thoughts... or searching to see if this came up already somewhere... i read these forums nearly every day so i don't think it has... |
