FF doesn't load, (along with other games.)

I dunno what's going on all of a sudden, everything was going smooth last night, but now Fortress-Forever won't launch.

I tried uninstallingthen reinstall FF three times, downloaded and installed any possible update windows need, deleted that ClientRegistry.blob two times, restarted steam lots of times, vertified cache/defrag (TFC/TF2), disabled all possible anti-virus programs, and updated directx.

Nothing launches. Is it because Half-Life 2 isn't updated? (5%)

Anything I missed?

Uhh, what are the other games that won't load?

All you should need is SDK Base

I have that installed, and TFC, TF2, Half-Life and a third-party mod - The Specialists won't load. (FF too)

I realized half-life 2 wasn't installed, so it's updating right now.

Correct.

Nothing loads, they just all say "preparing to launch", then quit out.

Heh, I just restarted my computer.

Nothing.

I did contact steam support though, so yeah.

Yeah, that's probably the best avenue at the moment. That and searching steampowered for something. Which I don't have the time, or drive to do at the moment.

did you verify the game integrity of sdk base and maybe even hl2?

games or tools/right click/properties/localfiles/verify integrity of game cache.

and this might find something or help.

steam://support/?Issues=*

That will check your system and steam for conflicts. Also if you read through it it gives you some good suggestions for possible fix's for crashing and other issues.

Is it Nvida card for reason steam likes the older Nvidia drivers. If thats the case Toss a coin it might be worth a try to revert back Just in case. 4est will tell you to start with remove scrub reinstall drivers.

Deleting all files in my steam directory except steam.exe and steamapps, was the solution to this issue.
