[REQUEST] Cartoon Models
I don't want this to get into a OMG U WANT TF2 MODELS?! thread, because that's not what I want.
Here's a screeny: Anyone working on anything like this or even know if it's possible? |

Its something Ive started working on. (starting w/ the RPG). Its a very labor intensive project tho.. so don't expect it any time soon. I have to give priority on reworking some stuff for FF 2.0, so my side projects will get done as I have time.

If I knew how to decompile/recompile source models correctly I could get this done pretty quick. Tutorial anyone?

Modelling as opposed to reskinning is a lot more work.. and depending on how different the new model is from the original, it also includes rigging, weightmapping, animating and so on.
I've got a couple of ideas for new player models too, but bleh still doing medkit weightmaps. And i wanted to design a new IC after that.. it shouldn't look exactly like the RPG. EDIT: Jester, grab Studiocompiler , it includes the MDL decompiler. Then you can check out the SMD's with either XSI's Modtool (which i use), or Milkshape or 3D Studio Max, whichever has SMD import tools. |
