Extra Copys of HL1?

Back when HL1 was a buck, did anyone pick up a few extra copies?
I wanted to give a copy to a friend of mine so she has games to play online since her laptop is a little older...

To bad you can't find the HL1 boxed in stores... you can get all the HL1 games for like 20 bucks

Check on Ebay, you can probably find some of the original HL1 cd's. The ones that were made before steam was released.

I have an original HL1 cd, it was bought just 1 month after the game was released. But its not for sale.

Yeah, I do as well. I wouldn't mind making a buddy a copy of it, but it's already gotten me my account returned to me once, can't afford to part with it. Hard to believe I've been playing these damned games that long.... I almost feel as old as Innoc

You could also mop up pre-steam copies of Blue Shift retail for the full HL experience as well

I reckon I'd still find HL single disk and/or HL - Generation box set (new) in some store in the UK. Like PC World. I get the impressing game in PC World barely shift.

For a buck? Steam offer?

I lost my original Half-Life disc a long time ago. The case was/is sitting behind my desk at my parents' house, but I have no idea what happened to that damn CD. Then Steam came out and I went "lol, internet."

It does. I used steam the first time when I bought CS which came with all the HL1 stuff. When I registered on steam, I got all the games automatically.

My copy of Starcraft + Broodwar came in a battle chest like package, exactly like my WarCraft III one.

Yep. I found a Half Life:GotY at a flea market for $1. Decided to try to load the key into my Steam just to see what happens and I got all the old legacy GoldSrc games (cept for Condition Zero) for free.

So I would definately look on Amazon/eBay for the original disc for any old GoldSrc game. Even if you spend $10 on it, you're basically saving over $60 regardless.
