Wireless Network Card Help?

Hey gang,

I've got a Belkin F5D7000 Desktop G Wireless network card in my PC right now. Trouble is, the PC won't detect it. It won't auto detect it, and it won't detect it when I run the 'add new hardware wizard' (and I cant find 'wireless internet card' to add manually). I rebuilt my PC and everything is running excellently - except for this, so arg, please help!
Things I've tried
  • Installing the most up-to-date drivers
  • Re-physically installing the card with/without drivers installed
  • Trying old drivers
The strange thing is that the LED light on the network card that says 'ACT' is lit, but not the 'PWR/LINK' LED light.

I've done some diagnostics, and the 'loopback' is the only one that 'passes', while all other shiat fails. Any ideas on what the hell I can do to get this card working? It used to work just fine, but now that my machine can't detect it...

Vista or XP?

FWIW, according to what I read, you have to install the drivers without the card being physically installed. Then physically install the card...

A few more suggestions:
- try a different PCI slot
- make sure the pci slots are configured in bios to be active

When installing the driver for this card, click on the "Browse my computer for driver software". Then click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". Once the list of drivers comes up, select "Atheros Communications Inc." as the Manufacturer, and then select "Atheros Wireless Network Adapter" as the the driver to use.
Not that any of them will work, but at least it's something to try.

p.s. There are multiple versions of that card with the same model number... make sure you got the correct drivers.
