Its been a while since I saw a Eurovision, but this years is great if only because of Lordi - Finlands death metal entry!

Haha, err... I heard that the organizer wasn't happy about all the effects in their show and it was doubtful whether they'd be allowed to perfrom.

The Eurovision is awafull, and I'm ashamed my country has won it 3 times (or was it 4?)

But those Lordi guys are really nice (not the music, the guys them selves) - I saw an interview with them on TV and they were much nicer than the average Eurovision contender...

Heh the average standard in Eurovision contests isn't extremely giddy. Only Waterloo comes to mind when I think of past winning songs.

Israel is a part of Europe it seems.

When it comes to sports/stupid contests - yes :P
Anyway, this is how we won our last (I think) Eurovision:
Take a transsexual who had a sex reassignment surgery, put her in some ugly dress and give her the most dumbest song ever=win.

Ah Lordi.
I remember hearing the vocalist say that our (norwegian) entry last year was what made it possible for them to get there. We sent wig wam (horrible hair metal/glam rock). Lordi fits perfectly in the eurovision freakshow though.

Edit: And to call Lordi death metal.. ERR?? Thats an insult towards death metal bands

Eurovision is a god damn joke. Would be fun if Lordi won as Eurovision peoples last hope to attract younger viewers thus losing all its remaining credibility.

I want Lordi to win. Saw them a few months ago by chance on the TV (some random metal fest was being aired).

They look VERY death metal but the song is just quality (and its a nice bit of Monster Rock?)

I think they're different enough to have a chance - imo much better than like 99% of the other stuff. I mean good god - have you seen the English entry???

Eurovision isnt rated on song quality, its by which countries each country likes and hates.

Some countries just vote the same year after year and England always gets bad votes due to Blair being Bush's buddy. And our songs suck.

Heard the latest news? Some conservative groups in Greece have sued Lordi if they do not withdraw from the competition. They explain their threat by saying that the group encourages satanic umm.. things, although Lordi have clearly stated that they have nothing to do with satanworshipping or anything like that.
