If you haven't gotten it yet, ignore Bridget and get it! Its definitely worth the $25 to go hack some zombies with a chainsaw.

Here's my opinion on L4D2.

I played a lot of L4D. I played a number of pickups in it and almost leagued but decided I hated the scoring system for competitive play. I had a blast playing it.

I played L4D2 for about a week and haven't really touched it since. It has high production values but felt more like a $30 expansion than a $50 stand alone game.

The characters are fairly boring. That is to say that Rochelle is the most boring character I've ever seen in a video game. The rest of them aren't bad, but Rochelle just drains them. Severely.

I like how the hickish guy talks about his obviously dead friend as if he was still alive. It's kind of Zombieland like with the guy and his dog. Actually, I suspect that's what his friend is. A dog.

The gambling dude is my favorite, only because he's kind of a jack ass. He's got some real good lines.

Dr. Phil is fucking hilarious.

The new infected are kind of boring and the special infected found in each level are just annoying. They don't really create any sort of interesting dynamic like they were supposed to. "Oh no... the clown honked his nose! It's like a boomer barfed on me except... I can see." "Oh no, those fire-resistant guys can run through fire! All one of them!" "Oh no, those swamp guys... they don't really do much of anything!"

The levels are a mixed bag. They're too restrictive for the infected in terms of movement and ambushes, which works in coop but becomes very boring in versus (so much so that I don't think I've ever made it through an entire game of versus). Some of the new crescendo event ideas are good, but I don't think they were very thought through. Corner camping still dominates and the new infected do little to stop it.

For $25, sure. I feel I shouldn't have bought it. It wasn't worth the $50.

I'm not fanatical about it (*cough* Souljah <3 *cough*) but I'd say it's worth the $25 special. I played it a lot when it first came out, now I just play it when everything else bores me.

I like it a lot but i am also more into it then most of you here i guess, b/c i have custom skins same characters just diff. suits etc. Also i play a lot of custom campaigns, which is what mostly keeps me playing it. As for bridget goes he never owned a copy of l4d or l4d2, so agreeing with him is not acceptable iggy so gtfo.

I like the game a lot, then again I always play with a group of my friends so that helps out. Something about killing hundreds of zombies helps you get through the day

Even though the sale is off this game is worth $25 for sure.

I have had alot of playtime out of this mainly through the versus mode which is incredible fun with friends, once you learn the maps and get used to the most strategic positions for each specific class it is brilliant fun.

Also there is an expansion soon for it however I have no idea what the pricing will be or if it's free.

All DLC is free for pc, now for xbox users its usually around $7 or MS points i think like 5-7k points maybe, that part i am not 100% b/c i don't play xbox.
