So many mechanics that seem like they'll degrade an insane amount with any sort of latency.

This game will annihilate the casual landscape. There were a couple things I actually thought looked pretty cool, but will probly be super gimmicky. And as a whole the game just kind of looks like a cluster fuck.
I honestly hope it turns out to be super bad, other wise it's just a piece of garbage sucking away potential interest from the various arena shooters that are already competing with each other for bread crumbs.

I think it's great - loads of really interesting experimental mechanics. Blizzard are really good at making games, so I am interested to see how it turns out.
It looks like they are placing more emphasis on movement skills compared to TF2 which is great - I saw a parkour class, a grappling hook, a sprint ability, a flying ability... I also love their "heroes" system rather than class based. It means they can increase/reduce/rebalance the number of classes fairly easily. Last edited by AfterShock; 11-08-2014 at 02:21 PM. |

I'd be lying if I said this didn't look interesting. Hopefully all the abilities don't just create a mess of stuff going on. Could be real fun if they manage to balance it okay for new/less skilled players but allow some depth for people who like movement/high skill fps.

It's nice to see how the "metagame" of making games has evolved.
Class based multiplayer is here to stay thanks to TF2 Hero based games are here to stay thanks to Dota Movement is coming back in a big way too. Intrigued, but won't hold my breath. |
