Strange lighting on player models
I'm trying to play with DirectX 9 and the following things turned off:
Code:
mat_bumpmap 0 mat_specular 0 I can play in DirectX 8.1 with bumpmap and specular off and it works fine. Has anyone found a trick to get rid of this? |

I've had that issue ever since I installed. Makes it hard to differentiate classes at a distance due to some having similar body structure.
If someone could find a fix for this I'd love them for hours.

I hate bump mapping! I wonder if it will do this in the orange box version...

It does in all orange box games also, yes. The lighting is there specifically for the bumpmapping with direct x 9 so if you have bumpmapping off the lighting just blankets the model.
