FF League - WEEK 5

Hello all you drama-fiends out there, and welcome to another tantalizing week of the Fortress Forever League. I hate you all, and wish you the worst of luck. Unless you're on my team, then you're a doll.

This week's map is ff_monkey. A classic map, literally. A map that responsible for the great Euro NA divide. The inside of the flagroom looks like a monkey's face. Have a great time on the map, and don't forget you can ramp off the flag stand and scoop the flag!

~~~~~~
There is another title match this week! FFL presents:
inhouse VERSUS ^HeLL
inhouse, being the first to 3 wins in a row, are the "title holders", for lack of a better term.
^HeLL is the challenger team.^HeLL will choose a map from the FFL map pool to play for the title match. Whoever wins will become the Title Holders of the Platinum division. Please come to me if you have any questions. Good luck to all and have fun!
~~~~~~

FFL - WEEK 5

Platinum

^HeLL (50) vs inhouse (40) :: TITLE MATCH

givashit vs 2 Gud

Wizards High Council (30) vs Clermont (90)

Silver
Diverse (60) vs Random Acts of Kindness (70)

Blunt Force Trauma (90) vs paPOW! (60)

Saints (20) vs BIG (80)

PWN vs BYE

FFL - WEEK 5

Good luck and have fun friends!

So the schedule said we played PWN last week, now it's .di again and we haven't played other teams yet...sort of confused.

Clermont changed divisions which threw some things off. People have been complaining about playing teams that are leading to lope-sided victories. I tried to rectify both with updates to the schedules for Week 5 and 6.

Things will get better, but the pool of teams for both divisions is relatively small. So, you'll be playing them more than once. I'll try to make sure every team plays every other team. Sorry for the redundancy.

Keep an all time record next to teams that switch divisions! Don't lose snippets of history and their title wins!

snap, so the challenger team always gets to pick their best map instead of playing the map that is up that week in the league? That's kind of odd, I've never seen that in a league. Seems like it might make for some boring repeat matches on the same maps?

P.S you need to add scrummage to the pool :P

I did it this way because I thought it would be nice for the challenger team to have like a home field advantage. In retrospect, I don't really like the idea too much either. Clermont ended up just picking the regular map becuase they couldn't find one they really liked; ^HeLL picked their best map, which makes perfect sense, and there's no incentive for them to not pick it every time. I personally don't like the idea of repeating maps over and over.

So, I agree. I'll be giving the rules an overhaul soon, hopefully this weekend. I'll also be posting a thread in a few weeks asking for critiques about the league, and what I can do better to make it more enjoyable.

Anyway, I really do appreciate the input. Please don't be afraid to voice your opinions. Unless you just want to call me a jerkface idiotmoron dumdum commish.

I mean, you also wanted a map that wasn't in the pool just like Clermont. So, my point still stands. Do you like the challenger being able to choose the map? I think it will lead to the same maps coming up a lot, which I don't enjoy, but I know some do.

i mean everyone has the preferences in terms of favorite maps etc. that parts obvious

but i also think people have more than 1 map where they feel comfortable playing anyone on

imo the map list is pretty good on some maps but then there's some maps i'm just like lol why

tidal and cath might not handle the greatest since the patch but those handle easily better than some of the other maps on that list

flashpoint is another map that could use some consideration

as for the maps that are pretty bad imo swoop handles far worse than tidal does since the patch and cop is just boring sahara i dont remember being too fun and even though i like it siden is far from a popular map as far as i know could be wrong on that tho

It's hard enough getting two teams together to play for 30min. Playing for 1 hour and 30min seems like a fantasy.
