Ya mang they had no right to use the screenies like they did. Sue them! And use the winning money to hire John Carmack and finish this mod quick!

It's a shame that PC Gamer didn't make much of an effort to contact the FF dev team. If they did, I imagine the team would have offered to provide them with some exclusive pieces of media; it would have been nice for us to see something new and it wouldn't do the magazine any harm.
In their defence, I guess that there's so much content in something like a monthly magazine that it's hard to check all information (particularly things like websites) or take the time to liaise with small development teams. At any rate, it's good publicity and hopefully some more people are now aware of the mod and will come to the forums. |

So if FF is 70% done in december, that means that they're doing almost exactly 35% per year, which means that we should have FF at about this time next year. The numbers don't lie.

So, uh, anyone want to do us a favor and sue the mysterious guy who is cybersquatting fortressforever.com? Or buy it for us, but I'd rather that weasel have to give it up or pay $ to fight for it heh. :/ Hard to find out who he is, since it's registered through a proxy (aka, he didn't want to be known or contacted directly or harrassed about having bought the domain that intellectually wasn't his to buy -- our fault for not picking it up before him, though).

Get one of those 'We don't get paid, unless you win!' lawyers you always see with the bad CGI ads on cable

I think seeing as he picked it up Jan 2005, and you guys were dev-ing before that, you have rights to it.
I think you have a fair case for cyber-squatting |
