You're pissed off you came out unscathed?
I'd personally be very happy that I left a pool of their blood on the ground and none of my own was shed. |

How the fuck did you manage to start moshes with rage against the machine playing? And not even live...
Last concert I went to I started a couple but it's always friendly. If you don't want to take part in it, you don't have too. If someone hurst someone badly, he says sorry. I guess thats Iceland. |

Moshing makes no sense to me. Crazy idea proposed by David Grohl of the Foo Fighters; How about, instead of beating the shit out of eachother, you listen to the music?
I know that's really going out on the limb though... |

Moshing, to a scally/chav/townie (whatever), consists on lots of 'goths' hitting each other and going "RARRRRRRRRRR RARRRR I LIEK SLIPKNOT!! RARRRRRRRRR RRARARARAR"
Whereas their type of dancing involves lock picks, BB guns and the strange sensation you get when you tuck your socks into your pants and go "NARR INNIT". |

Moshing is basically doing your best to annoy other people by bumping into them. It's the passive-aggressive dance of choice. |

IMO Moshing is stupid.
When I went to see SlipKnot (I was seated but I jumped over the barrier ad got into standing 'coz I'm a rebel) I listened to the music and did some cool head banging stuff. Then I got out my famous air guitar >_< |

Moshing bah...
It's hardcore dancing you wanna watch out for. I'm all for headbanging and a "friendly mosh" (ie, not actually trying to kill the nearest person literally) but hardcore dancing is just asking for trouble. It also looks really gay. |

There is a time and a place for "moshing" and somewhere you get kicked out for doing it is not it. If you try and "start a mosh" somewhere it isn't appeciated you're basically just making an arse of yourself and annoying a bunch of people.

Moshing occures during slipknot? wtf Loader? :P
Of course I'm there to listen to the music, but it's NOT music like Slipknot and I'm NOT a goth. I (and the like-minded people there) do it to the rythm of the music mostly and to get some adrenaline. You've got to understand that this is the kind of music that encourages this kind of 'dancing' to it, and it is quite appropriate to dance aggressively to aggressive music. |

FWIW, moshing has been around a very long time. Late 70's/early 80's. |

I think we all should just relax and listen to the music. A live band however, is another story.
http://www.hamerex.com/hamerex/downl..._Eyes_demo.mp3 http://www.hamerex.com/hamerex/downl..._Away_demo.mp3 In this case being my brothers band. I myself don't play anything but have a short background of music. My bro' plays bass, my dad used to play bass a long long time ago as well as being a keyboardist and does a side job now as an organ teacher. My mum was a singer. oo |

The best thing was when they did Duality..
They stopped half way through and went "Wait, this isn't right.. I want you ALL to sit/lay on the floor" So we did "Good, now.. When I say GO I want you ALL to jump up and go crazy" (The real thing involved an unimaginable amount of different uses for the word fuck) When the final chorus came on he said "GO". The whole of the MEN arena in Manchester turned into a moshpit.. OMG \M/ |

oh fuck yes, I remember that. Pure brilliance! There was this one guy who wasnt down all the way and he kind of stood up to get comfortable or something and cory pointed straight at him and told him to sit the fuck down. Loved it! I could go on and on about the happenings of the concert, but alas, I am late for work
PS: Unearth rocks! PPS: I fucking missed Ozfest this year! |

Moshing occurs like no tomorrow at Linkin Park concerts, I watched the Live in Texas DVD.
Or Metallica. That's where people die. |
