Who still plays Old School systems? - Page 3

I still have my SNES and play it once in a while and up until about a year ago I still had a 3DO, but it broke finally and my brother made me toss it. Did anyone ever play that console? Wing Commander was teh shit!

If you still have the games for it, you can check on E-Pay for another console. I see lots of older systems on there.

Past few days, I've been hooked on Donkey Kong Jr. for the Atari 7800. It's REAL close to the arcade game. I've managed to beat the entire first round on 1 life. I can't keep from fucking up on the second board of level 2. I score around 35000 per game, or so.

I've done super mario world and super mario 64 speedruns. nothing serious though, but it's pretty fun.

SNES has to be the greatest system ever though. I could probably list 50 or so games that were excellent for it. what do the 360, PS3 or Wii have? warioware, bioshock? ha

old school PC games were great too. well, not 'really' old school but fallout, quake, daggerfall. some really good games there. I still load some of that stuff up sometimes.

That's a poor comparison. The SNES had games made for it for, about, 10 years. The combined release time of the three consoles is about 7 years. 50 games in 10 years is about 5 good games a year. While that's pretty good, that's nothing compared to what the 360 had in 2007. Hell, there were about 50 good game releases in 2007 across the four major competitors (PC, 360, PS3, Wii).
