Looks cool, but gameplay on this map is... erm, shit.
Remaking the flagroom could be a solution. |

What do you mean, Chad? What changes to the flagroom would make gameplay better?

I remember the times of 4 Mirv Demomen on this map My friend and I filled the flag room with a constant supply of spam. Just make sure the gren bag doesn't respawn quite as fast as it did in the original

Will do, Jiggles.
I've re-entitied everything, smoothed out errors, and now I'm back on track to adding additions. I'm fooling around with the outside of the base (what you can see through the windows) to get somethin' sexy. Will post update again soon... |

In the current 2morfort, defensers are very close and the resupply almost in the flagroom. I don't really know what you could do to change it, maybe in adding one more room (new flagroom) with 2 separate accesses : more time to off, less spam, etc. But it could be worse : close game, no fun. |

I'm back in town, and back at work on this delightful map.
So the grenade issue seems pretty big - I'll make the grenade bag give less 'nades and/or make it respawn less. I've got some things to work on - some smoothing groups, make fans for the 2 big holes, modify some lighting and tweak the skybox. Once that's all in place, you'll have some screenshots of the modified work (esp. the skybox - it's not that amazing, though ) Rock on. |

I'm about ready to post half (pre flipped/recolored) of my map for people to run around in. Anyone recommend a place that will host a 13mb file?

I can host it. Since I'm using my old university's bandwidth, it may be a bit spotty (school just started). When it's working its very fast though

I can host it for you, too. Unlimited bandwidth and good speeds, just send a PM. Ginger Lord can attest to it.

Are you planning a playtest get-together? Perhaps all meeting in the map to talk about it, if it's not ready for playtesting (And I know the goals aren't there yet)?

Hrmm... yeah, a play test time would be nice. Tell ya what, I'll post the half-map today/tonight, and if there are no big problems, we'll do the get together tomorrow (thursday) at.. 2pm US Central Time. How's that?
and Circ, I'll PM ya and try to get you and/or jiggles to host the half-map. |

Good, give me a couple of hours where Jiggles isn't playing BF2 so I can stop getting raped by him.

There you go, you goons! Some of the textures (rocks, maybe a few others) may not work since they are custom textures. If they don't, you can suck it up. Let me know if there are any probelms, and have fun mulling about till tomorrow at 2pm CST. I'll post my IP near then. |

I just gave it a quick 30 second run through since I need to go get some food. I really like the aesthetic changes over the original; they're interesting and pretty without getting in the way of gameplay.
If anyone's wondering, just drop the bsp in the: "...\Steam\SteamApps\YourEmail\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\maps" directory The custom textures don't show; most obviously here. It doesn't get in the way though. |

I'll redo the missing textures and see if I can get it rehosted...
edit: nevermind, it's too much of a pain in the ass right now. Enjoy |
