Well that was a release for the 360. I'm assuming (with no factual basis to) that the effects have been toned down to be able to run on the system.

It looked pretty good for an xbox 360 game. The blood didn't look that great though, in my opinion. It looked more like a sprite, and a bad one. If I buy it, it's gonna be on PC. The only reason I like the 360 launch is so that my friends who refuses to build gaming PC's will be able to enjoy the glory that is Half-Life and hopefully learn that 90 percent of the games they know and love have borrowed ideas from it.

Better get used to it because Episode 3 is going to be the same. I thought it was a pretty well known fact that episodes 1-3 would just be moving forward the Half-Life story.

Give me a break, you know that's not what I meant.
I know the concept of the episodic content they're going to push forward, what I was saying EP2 looks like it's going to be the same thing as EP1 and that's just a level pack with hardly anything new and consisting of the exact same gameplay of the previous installment. Also I fail to see how moving forward the half life story implies that you have to be completely unninovative.

id get it for my computer, but my computer is being a complete asshole. drivers are fudged. thats y i bought a 360, much less of a hassle for me. (that is unless i get a "red ring o' death" sometime soon)
