I am one of those people. And I say pubs are a waste of time. I actually think they make you worse.

But, at the moment, all active pubs will (in my opinion) make me a worse player.

So they may make "you" worse since you consider yourself a vet, but they don't make everyone worse.

I wish there was an odin's style server running too! /sigh we need more player base!

Not really. The Pro Bowl consists of the best of two sides that are on the same skill level. This will be more like the Pros VS College.

More like Pros vs Intramural

College ball still consists of people who play competitively against other college's. There's a very high calibur there still.

Pub is more like Intramural, group of people who play against themselves.

The argument is that it's not worth my time as a skilled player to go into a pub for "practice" or to lock a server with pubbers in it and divide them and play against them as if they were an actual team.... TRUE.

Goodfellas beat an actual clan 54 to 5 IIRC.... VS a pub, with one guy running around as pyro and another who builds sg's in useless lactations... it would be 60 to 0... or as fast as we could possibly cap in 30 minutes, depending on the map. How is that not a waste of time?

You exemplify the fact that most people don't know HOW TRULY BAD THEY ARE at the game. Or maybe you are just overestimating pubbers. There is a massive skill deficit in pubs.

Ok so here is some ground rules.

1) The match gets broadcasted live no source TV delay.

2) We got to give the pub/newb team at least a week to practice or gather players so kev isn't standing alone.

3) What ever amount of players Kev/pubbers can get that aren't scared the Clanners match (up to 10) have to keep two spec slots open for TV and broadcaster.

4) No crying if you get your ass handed to you and you admit being wrong.

5) Bring your own bandages.

6) Standard UGC TFC 8v8 or 9v9 rules in place for the match.

7) Being the under dog Kev gets map and color pick.

Since it will be broadcast live only the pubbers can cheat by relaying info over teamspeak or vent if they even know what those do (because they will need all the help).

As from what I've seen from the community..
I mean.
to be really honest..
I don't see much of a skill difference between pubbers and the majority of clanners.

But that's just me, that's just my opinion, much like what was typed earlier that pubbers are a waste of time, is an opinon. Take it as a grain of salt, not to the heart. ;(

seriously...these guys on the forums know what thier talking about when they say skills are pretty different pubs from clanners...i dont doubt that there is some skilled pubbers that choose only to pub...but there are some beasts that play this game

Such as yourself, see these noobs don't understand how good we are. Today I had a sg up, demo piping flag and soldier in FR, Vinny concs in and gets off with the flag, still alive. You would be amazed how much you will get pwned.
