There's only about 10 servers with people in them at a time. The game is wonderful though, the gameplay is wonderfully fast. You can freaking bunnyhop to about twice the running speed.

Warsow's 'player base' is random server bots, pretty much. It's even smaller than OA's

Tremulous has a pretty big player base though

Agreed. I love Deus Ex...a pity it always looked better on 3DFX hardware than anything else...

Actually it doesn't look any different under native real 3dfx Glide compared to the direct3d renderer shipped with the game.

And Deus Ex isn't odd or cheap. This is.

Project IGI is a pretty odd game. Its a "realistic" FPS where you have to sneak around and avoid cameras, but the maps are HUGE and take place outdoors. However, you can't save throughout a map, and each map takes a while to complete. the only way to beat the game is to exploit the shit out of the AI and abuse your auto-map as much as possible.

What sucks is that the final map takes place in an underground bunker. The game doesn't do close-quarters battles very well and your map doesn't show anything. The cherry on top is that if a camera spots you, invulnerable sentries will pop from the ceiling and butcher you. If you screw up once, you have to restart from the start. Needless to say, I gave up at this point.

If you want to have any hope at getting past the third level, you need to utilize something called AK sniping. You need be about 150m+ away from your target, grab the binocs, zoom in and get the target in the middle of your bionoc's crosshairs, then switch to the AK and open fire with two round bursts. Since you're out of the AI effective range, all they'll do is sit there and take it.

There's no way I could've gotten anywhere close to the final level without that technique.

I'm actually kinda disappointed with Peggle Nights.... It's OKAY..... but not $10 worth. Especially not worth the BS from that "sale"..... but Steam learned me a lesson...... no more buying through Steam.

Good, so I'm not really the only one who despises Steam? Maybe not hate straight up, but refuse to waste any money on them anymore.

Nope, Kenny. Before today, you were the only person in the history of the world to "despise Steam." Such an unheard of sentiment.
