mIRC

What's a good tutorial for it? I am a mIRC nub and try to navigate through it in a "nubbier" fashion. Seems like that'll be the chat client for FF, so I gotta get a head start.

Well when i got Mirc it was really weird with the "setup" i didnt understand shit what i was doing or how to connect to a new server or so, but with chatzilla(i dont remember how) it was much easier and i actually got started so i could start chatting instead of trying to figure out how to connect to a server.

Neway my experience with mIRC was bad, i dont remember why but my experience with Chatzilla was much better.

...lol?

How much easier? I mean I don't open IRC cuz it's too confusing right now, it wont remove channels I no longer go in etc. and it's just fugly.

You can do that easily with Chatzilla. You just rightclick the tab on the channel and there is an option "open up this channel on start", check or uncheck it. Simple as that.

Plus you can type in links in Firefox like:

irc://otherworlders.org

Or just click on links like that, and Chatzilla will automatically open and connect you to the network. It works brilliantly.

Yes, I use Chatzilla for FireFox too. I rarely wan't or require the use of IRC. I still have mIRC installed though.

I have it for simplicity and convenience for those clickable links but even then I don't use IRC at all. You might as well use mIRC.

In FireFox go to tools>chatzilla
Click that button with the little arrow on bottom left and add a name
In the main window where is reads "[INFO]Available networks are" click quakenet
Now in the typing space type /join #fortressforever

Write /server irc.gamesurge.net
anywhere

then /j #fortressforever
and voila... not.

Cause you have to register to get in there.
