Formatting HD Vista CD

I'm on Linux right now (How cool, right?) and I am hoping one of you losers can help me. My old 8800gt was shot (Video Ram Failure) so I bought a new 9800gt. I got it installed and what not and my computer works fine now. Here's the deal. I have only five gigs of hard drive space left on Vista, and my computer is overflowing with junk. Equally, it's probably ridden with spyware, adware, and god knows what else. So, I have decided I want to format my hard drive, reinstall Vista, then install Linux again. Here's the deal. I shut my computer down (with the Vista disc in the drive) and when the BIOS comes up, I press F8 for boot selection. Boot selection comes up and I boot it from my drive. Windows loads files, then the Vista installer background comes up (The blue/green one like the Vista login prompt background) and there's a huge cursor that I can move around. I waited five minutes at this screen, but it won't load past to the options. WTF is the deal?

I'm going to try it again. :/

you might want to start off by not calling the people your asking for help losers...I wouldn't be surprised if no one helps you out now.

You can delete this thread. I have already formatted and reinstalled Vista. It just takes forever to load up the Vista CD menu, that's all. Excuse me, also, if you felt offended, but.. meh.. Nervous day. Figured I'd kill it with some humor, even if I saw said humor.

If you need to use Linux to excape a spyware and virus filled computer, I think you're the failure in the group.

Also, sounds like you have a bad disk.
