What will the Snipers be like in FF?
Hi im new to the forums and i really appreciate the effort that you guys , the FF team, are doing to keep TFC fans into the game. My main class was sniper in TFC and i became really good at it. I just wanted to know what you guys had planned for snipers?

i heard that snipers...if not active enough/camps..they will have the animation of tumbling over into a deep sleep with giant "Z's" floating above them. ...so i heard.

Here's a question about the sniper. Are you going to make the sniper more friendly for clan matches? If so, how? I mean right now, they fire too slow to be productive, and they need lots of space from their enemies to keep them alive long enough to kill something, AKA the yard. Which in some leagues, it's illegal to have yard D. Perhaps a faster firing rate for the exchange of the amount of damage, and maybe more then one level of scope, for them to snipe at not so far range and far away range. Anyways, I really do hope you revamp them in such a way that it's helpful in clan matches.

LOL awww i was hoping for real ideas although it's lunch and a turkey sandwich doesnt sound soo bad And now i think about it a jet pack to get them to any place would be EVIL just plain EVIL!!!!

I know the sniper dot with the charge up has been around since QWTF, but i never liked the whole "charge up" idea behind the sniper rifle. It just doesn't make any sense imo when the model looks like a somewhat real model and it fires a bullet type projectile.
I'm sure the team already has the features/changes lined up for the classes but I would love to see some sort of change to the way the sniper rifle functions. Maybe still have a charge up type thing, but make it so you can fire off single shots with the primary fire that can be fired off fairly fast but will cause less damage and a secondary fire with a charge up that can deal massive damage but takes like 5 seconds to charge up fully. Also make it so the rifle actually looks like it has the capability of "charging up" a round. These changes to the sniper rifle would allow a sniper to at least damage fast moving or multiple targets which would make it more viable for clan matches, especially in places with large open areas. However, like I said above this is only my own idea on how to help improve the class. |

I think the "charge up" time was sort of a simulation of the sniper raising the rifle and carefully readying to fire.
The Sniper does need work. I've already posted my ideas on the subject, so I guess it's just a matter of time to see what the FF team does. |

Leave the Sniper alone. Add a good BBQ rub to the Pyro's equipment to improve the quality of the feast kthxbye.

I heard they are changing snipers to a new class called "n00b"
They have a rifle and a huge glowing arrow over their head pointing down saying "n00b." They also automaticly ask how to change classes and teams every 30 sec. They also have n00b 'nades which makes you run around with you crowbar and keep hitting the floor. |

i think the sniper should be able to completley blend in with its surroundings and go prone and have 1 shot kills without charging!!!!! no wait thats a bad idea nm. pffft.
