Video Editing

Well me and a couple friends of mine got into just goffing around, making videos and other random stuff. Well I use camstasia studio and well it work out fine. Now we decided on making a music vid, more profesional looking with some nice effects. So what editing program would you recomended that it's also user friendly?

i wouldnt call that a downside though the media students use it in the TV studios, although we're restricted to PCs, so we use prem instead.

next year we should have our own mac suite, though

I actualy like the adobe stuff personaly.
However they say final cut pro is one of the best.
(And Macs are better at editing then Windows computers)

If you want just BASIC editing iMove on the mac is a good, simple product...

The graphical world has always been working on macs. It might be that Macs are more stable or that the prossesors handel it better or that the OC is less bloted so the computer can handle it better.

But it's generaly acsepted as fact that macs are superior for movie editing, graphic editing, and such.

It was once generally accepted that the earth was flat. General acceptance does not equate to truth. I demand hard data!

Fact is that Macs are a billion times better than PCs. Only problem is that Macs can't do the gaming. However, now that it's possible to run windows on a mac, I foresee macs dominating.

There are many rumours why Mac's are better than PC's at graphics stuff, a lot comes down to them having the first GUI on a home PC so all the graphics programs came out on Mac's first, then got ported to PC.

Personally, you can get a PC to do the same if not better as a Mac for a hell of a lot less. People go on about how G5's kick Pentium 4's arse, well..last time I checked it's pretty hard to get a PC to cost £3k and perform badly.

In the year of so I've used Mac's at Uni and College all I can say is Photoshop loads faster. I've got Mac's to freeze up no end, programs randomly quit and all other random stuff.

Explains it nicely.

I enjoyed that video.

Things like this have always bugged be, Something has to be compared to something else or Verses.
Basically PC's do as good a job as Mac's vice versa.

I would Rather have a PC though, just because i always have.
And i don't care for Apple that much.

I think I will give adobe premiere a try, just checked their site and saw a flash demostration and I really like how a second video can play in a little screen on the video. Mutiple videos in one. Not sure if that makes sence....
but how about something more user friendly? Easy to use and all, now I need to find that program I mean buy.....

indeed. input and output monitors are the norm. ideally though, you'd use a triple headed video card.

So there are certain specific numbers relating to video editing that macs can process better? No, I don't think so.

Lol, gingerlord I've seen that video before. Good times.
