The only thing that we can take from TFC that will work with the SG in this is the lock mechanic. Everything else, from turret turn speed to rate of fire, to damage done, has got to be changed. The reason is the speed of the game.
This I can agree with. FF is a faster game, but I think that keeping the same mechanical principles that TFC had would be beneficial even just to test. The tracking speed should work similarly to TFC's but it should rotate faster as the overall speed of the game is increased. Damage it does as well as it's HP should be higher.

The only real mechanical difference would be lock rate and turn speed, and the only value that we could solidly take from TFC is the lock rate. Everything else has got to be changed and tweaked similarly to how things have been doing for a few patches.

I think the problem was that you guys were trying to fix a lot of things that werent broken and ended up making it worse. if we were to just go back to the 2.0 values, and start from there, because right now a lot of the playerbase (all of what... 10 people?) believe your implementation and execution of the 2.1 sg was flawed. I actually just ran into an old online buddy who i used to play TFC with, who told me he played FF for the last two months, and felt the SG was completely retarded. his steam name is selmir if you want to ask him yourself. i actually ran into him on GoW on my xbox. kind of funny.

2.0 values were broken and buggy. Going back to them would be like going back to 1.0 for the heavy.

Right now what the pub players are experiencing are what competitive players experienced for all of 2.0. You know, just about an entire year of the stuff. I'm not saying that it's acceptable that anyone go through this but reverting back to how it was is not an acceptable solution.

FYI: We're probably going to go to TFC values before going back to 2.0 values.

IN all this, I think if it was not understood before, then now more than ever the fan base starts to truely understand the difficulties that the dev team have had to deal with from the beginning. It is a fine balance to the ecosystem and any small change could turn us all into fish or monkeys instead of humans.

Wait... wut are we talking about again?

Why be so mean to tu! all the time? If he was a opinion about a game, so be it.

I <3 you ihmhi... but starting with 200 cells, build the dispenser first, then touch it. you will now have 130 cells. build a level 1 sg hit it to put ammo in it. then run to resupply. With 200 more cells, hit the sentry gun twice, overcharge your railgun once, and touch your dispenser twice while overcharging. Upgrde your gun with a single hit. You will now have 20 ish shotgun shells, a level 3, with 40% ammo and a dispenser with cells in the mid 30's range. enough to use for a det on a scout, or an injured medic.

Yeah I just realized you can do that a few days ago. Very nifty.
