Starting FF via desktop shortcut or steam

Greetings,

Tough luck for me after that steampatch it seems.
In regards to the no servers showing up I also can't seem to start the mod on itself.

The error I'm getting: Clicky.

On a bright side however it seems I'm still able to play the game if I join one of my steamfriends has a game in progress, after which I could always pop the console up and manually enter "connect <serverip/port>".

It's a hassle when noone is playing though

As a reply to what I already tried and did not work:

- Reinstall from scratch (delete steamdir, reinstall steam, download gcf files, install hl2, use the FF2.1 installer).
- Run it via a desktop shortcut.
- Run it by rightclicking a friend and select "launch game".
- Run it by doubleclicking the mod inside the "game" tab of steam.
