Servers not showing up or something?
I've been wanting to play a bit of FF lately, but whenever I go to refresh the servers, what I see every time is one mostly-full server on top, followed by a server that has maybe 3 or 4 people playing, then about a dozen servers that are empty aside from HLTV, and all zeros after that. So basically, if I don't feel like playing the map that the top server is running, or if I have a bad ping there, or if the locals are just rubbing me the wrong way or are too good for me, I'm pretty much done at that point.
Only reason I bring this up is because the forum community here seems to be thriving - and I've had trouble with Steam not showing all the servers before. I've been away for a while so I really don't know what the state of the game is, but just a glance over the forums seems to suggest that it is healthy. I downloaded 2.0 and for what I've been able to play, it seems to be a substantial improvement, especially in the sense of performance and overall robustness. So, what I'm hoping to hear is that, yes, the problem is that Steam and/or my interwebs is bugging out, and not that simply no one is playing the game. If as many people were in the game right now as are browsing the forums, it would be a good situation. |

Well my friend it is spur attic. it depends on the time of day and what your location to the server is. you can check out the to rated servers here http://www.gametracker.com
But I will tell you this if you go to one of the top rated servers and join you will find a game going in no time.

Yeah time of day is what it's about...also a large part of the population simply play pickups @ #ff.pickup on gamesurge so you won't see them in a server unless it's locked and a pickup is running. You should stop by there if ever you want to play...almost always a pickup going on in there.

most of us seem to be older and work/school during the day. So you'll see us on the forums to avoid work related boredom. When we get off work we tend to be a little better off in terms of numbers.

I usually find that joining an empty server at normally-active times (after 3pm EST) will get me five or six players within fifteen minutes and more within the hour.
